PROJECT SUMMARY

AMIRA is managing the Affiliate program of the DET CRC and is continuously working to recruit additional Affiliate members. There are three Affiliate colleges: METS Suppliers, Junior Explorers and Government Geological Surveys. Members of each college can access all the research outcomes and importantly can get actively involved in some of the research activities from technology development through to trialling and testing of the prototype technologies and potentially in commercialisation in the case of Suppliers. The DET CRC officially commenced operations in May 2010

Since inception the DET CRC has developed a pipeline of 45 potential products and services. To date the CRC has offered the following technologies to its partners:

  • AutoSondeTM (with total count gamma)
  • IOCG Prospectivity Index
  • Hydrophone Baffle
  • Diffraction Imaging Algorithms
  • Atlas of Gawler Craton
  • Lab-at-RigĀ® v.1
  • Smart Winch
  • Remote Rig Monitoring
HIGHLIGHTS/DELIVERABLES/ADDITIONS

Additional technologies that may be offered include:

  • Borehole Magnetic Gradiometer* Wire-line tool capable of recovering the gradients of magnetic fields along the trace of a drill hole. This information gathered from the tool provides an important constraint on magnetic modelling.
  • Slimline (70mm or 50mm) PGNAA Tool A prompt gamma neutron activation analysis tool. This is an active source gamma tool.
  • Drill hole wavelet analysis & visualisation Algorithms for analytics on the data incorporated into industry standard software (i.e. automated-lithogeochemistry). Aiding the process of rapid data processing and decision making.
  • Wireless Floating SUB Wireless sub will provide a precise measurement of the drilling parameters: axial force and torque acting at the top of the rod assembly, RPM and mud pressure with basic driller display.
  • Low level element detection in groundwater Sachets used to concentrate low level trace elements and metals in groundwater for detecting elements of interest in geochemical vectoring and exploration.
  • Additional sensors for Autonomous Sonde This is the Autonomous sonde with additional sensors that can provide a more complete set of logs. A method that can simultaneously provide gamma counts, electrical conductivity and magnetic susceptibility. Ability to calibrate surface seismic data
